Ways to send us your submissions can be found here:
Return from payroll system
Most payroll systems offer the option to send returns directly to us.
You do not need a web account (nor password/username) to send reports to Efling, if the system requires something to be entered in the fields, it is your company's ID number in all cases.
With web returns
For those who do not submit social security and fund contributions directly from the payroll system, the contributions can be submitted via an electronic submission form here.
Users select which collective agreement they are submitting under. The employee's ID number and total salary must be entered, and it is important to review all information before pressing the "send" button. A receipt is then sent to the email address provided. Neither a username nor a password is required to submit fees via the web submission.
Through a payroll website
Returns can be submitted through Efling's payroll website ( https://launagreidendur.total.is ).

How are returns paid?
A payment slip is sent to your online bank after the return has been sent to Efling. However, the claim is not established until the return has been reviewed, and if discrepancies are discovered, the claim is established according to the reviewed return.
– If a claim is not established in online banking, the return has not been received for some reason.
When should returns be paid?
The due date is the 15th day of the month following the pay month.
– The due date is the last working day of the same month. If payment is not made by the due date, interest will be calculated from the due date to the date of payment.
What if the return is not paid?
The collection process begins if premiums are not paid by the due date. A reminder is sent 7 days after the due date and a collection notice 15 days after the due date. If a claim has not been paid 11 days after the collection notice, it is sent to legal debt collection.
Example of premiums for the month of April:
- The due date is May 15th.
- The deadline is May 31st.
- Reminder sent on June 6th.
- Collection notice sent on June 14th, giving an 11-day grace period.
- The arrears will be sent to debt collection on June 25th if the claim is not paid.
