What is a trade union?
A trade union is a social organization of workers that works to protect and safeguard the interests of its members, negotiates on their behalf about wages and rights. Provides advice on their rights and obligations in the workplace and assists if problems arise regarding these.
Supports people who have used up all their sick leave entitlements with their employer and provides relief through grants, subsidies for, for example, health promotion, physiotherapy, psychology, courses, to name a few.
